Product Description

This is a danceable version of the classic tennis pump of the last century. So now you can look like you're wearing trainers whilst enjoying the freedom of movement that suede soles offer. This version of the Aris Allen Classic Canvas Dance Sneaker has been redesigned to make it the most attractive ever, with a shorter vamp and lower sides. However, this redesign can cause a problem for people with narrow heels.

This year's model can be selected in even more colours. In addition to all white and all black uppers with white trim, we also have pale blue or all black too! These are the perfect practice dance shoes to rehearse your dance steps or to wear to dance lessons.

The insoles are well padded for added comfort and are removable so you can add your own insoles or wear them with orthotics. Please read the sizing details before ordering - especially if you have a narrow foot.

Sizing Information:
These run true to size - but if you're between sizes you'll probably prefer the smaller of the two. If you own last year's model then you'll probably want a half size smaller. Important! These dance sneakers are unlikely to fit if you have narrow feet because they run quite wide in the heel.

Fitting the Heel:
40% of the Aris Allen test group said that they felt more secure with heel grips in the back of the shoe so free heel grips are included with every pair (see photo). But please avoid purchasing this model if you have a narrow heel as even with heel grips they will be unsuitable for some dancers.

About the Suede Leather Soles:
The Chrome Suede Leather Soles (suede tanned with chromium salts) are wonderful to dance on but require occasional upkeep; typical problems include catching the edge of the sole. The best solution is to re-glue the chrome leather with superglue or shoe repair glue available from your local shoe repair shop.

Most people like to keep their dance shoes for the dance hall only, but suede soles get faster when they're well worn and shiny on the bottom! If you prefer them less zippy you can dull the "mirror finish" by roughing them up with a wire brush. Moisture also makes them less slippy.
